Assessment tool

To support the local Info-houses in assessing concerns in a qualified and systematic way an assessment tool has been developed in consultation with local practioners, researchers and other stakeholders.

The core of the assessment tool is to examine and analyse 9 dimensions regarding the person in question:

Analysis of risk and threat

Analysis of well-being and resilience

  • Concerning convictions and rhetoric
  • Personality factors
  • Willingness to use violence
  • Mental vulnerability
  • Criminal history
  • Family
  • Concerning socialization and relationships
  • Network and spare time
  • Education and employment
Analysis of risk and threat

The assessment tool is dialogue based. The participating authorities bring each their information about the person to the table and discuss each dimension one by one. Part of the tool is comprised of guidelines, listing points of attention regarding the nine dimensions, all derived from evidence based research.

In its entirety the assessment model is comprised by four tools which guide the practioners in the infohouses through three steps:

  1. Reception and description of the concern.
  2. Analysis of the situation of the person.
  3. Comprehensive assessment and recommendation
